Why not get the most bang for your buck? Lets get better together and take the next step toward attaining goals of your own. I know that I can offer this to people and I have every intention to do it and show people that there is an alternative. There is a way to not do that and get so much more out of the summer months. It is not as cut and dry as, "play travel summer ball". I want to show them that there is another way to do this. I want the guys who want to work and want to get the most out of this time as possible because it is so valuable. I want to begin to steal players from travel teams. Strength training, velocity training, becoming explosive at the plate, the mound and the field. I want to open a facility to offer the student athlete the opportunity to become the complete package. I want to be the one to change the face of baseball in Northeast Ohio.
I think about all the travel programs that have watered down summer baseball and it makes me want to do something about it. This is something that I want to do badly. It is what you do with that which is important and only in your hands. The state of Ohio has to offer you that education. Leaving is easy, you'll get an education anywhere. There are opportunities and what you do with those opportunities. So to say that the opportunities are not here is complete garbage.īasic jest of it is this. Our guys work hard and we are getting better. Not to mention that currently I can say that we are doing things that nobody else in the area is doing and we are getting chartable data-points that prove our progression. They have even had a player drafted by an MLB franchise. Athletically, from a baseball standpoint, Fairport has had Ohio players of the year, All-Ohio players, multiple collegiate baseball players in the last decade. I mean I am writing this so we all can assume that I am not incompetent. My Fairport education has served me quite well.
So that kills that misnomer on the academics front. Most anyone who is a good student is going to attend PSEO classes their Junior and Senior years.
There is not a thing that another school is going to offer you that Fairport cannot offer. So heart on my sleeve here, if you leave Fairport for somewhere else it really pisses me off.
